Давно интересует меня вопрос "Что же это такое: Tisket! Tasket!"? Эти слова звучат в песне Mary Had a Little Lamb (SRV - Texas Flood, 1983). Да и вообще, мне совершенно не понятно о чём поётся в третьем куплете этой песни:
Tisket! Tasket! baby
A green and yellow basket
Sent a letter to my baby
On my way I past it
Какая связь с первыми двуми куплетами?..
Кстати у Ella Fitzgerald есть песня A Tisket, A Tasket.
И ещё вопрос: всё тот же альбом SRV - Texas Flood, 1983. Песня Dirty Pool. Что означают "to turn the tables on smb.", "eight-ball" и "dirty pool":
- True love is gone. I's been played for a fool.
I'm turnin' the tables on you. You've been playin' dirty pool.
- You said you'd call the shots darlin'. All your friends thought that was so cool.
Yeah when you shot at the eight-ball baby. I knew you were playin' dirty pool.

Малехо смущает " I's been...".
И ещё раз кстати, у меня на пластинке Sarah Vaughan есть песня You turned the tables on me.
